Day 1 - chrome, git

Installed Chrome from Google. Installed git. Someone made git depend on emacs, which is a bad thing for me (I use vi).

Day 1 - yum update

The installation went smothly. A yum update showed 876 packages that need to be upgraded. Doing that. God speed!
